* Front Line Assembly at The Magic Bag – Ferndale, MI, USA – Sunday, Oct 5, 2025

I was stoked to see Front Line Assembly (FLA) live again at The Magic Bag in Ferndale, Michigan, USA on October 5^th, 2025. They performed a Wax Trax! Era live set which consisted of only songs from that era. Wax Trax! Records is an American independent record label based in Chicago that released FLA’s works in the 1980’s and early ‘90’s. This October 5^th 2025 set was alongside fellow industrial artists Lead Into Gold and Clock DVA. I previously seen FLA perform at The Magic Bag on Thursday, September 21, 2023 and again with Ministry and Gary Numan at the Royal Oak Music Theatre on March 13, 2024.

FLA are one of my most favorite bands and some of my most favorite music producers. I listen to Front Line Assembly, Delerium, Noise Unit, and Intermix often. As you probably could already tell, they are truly an inspiration on my own music. I took a pic with them without my disguise, just the sunglasses. I photoshopped the hat and mask onto the photo. I am trying to stay as an anonymous musician for the time being.

It was an excellent show, and Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber were kind enough to take a picture with me and sign my Delerium – Karma cd. Bill stated “This album changed our lives”, referring to the Karma album. Then he mentioned the numerous remixes for the song Silence featuring Sarah McLachlan. I talked about and described my favorite instrumental on the album, which is titled Remembrance. I told him that I like it because of the “Arabic Party Music near the beginning of the track”(at about 1:57 time mark). I also like the Japanese Shakuhachi flute in the intro of it. I would definitely go to another Front Line Assembly or Delerium show in the future. I told Rhys that another Delerium and Conjure One tour would be awesome! When I was talking to Rhys he appeared to be tired from touring. This was the last show on their tour. I shook Rhys hand and told him good luck, as he had a solo show in Los Angelas in a few days. He was scheduled to perform a solo set in a show with Leæther Strip and other bands on October 8^th 2025.

Front Line Assembly are major innovators in the Electro-Industrial/Industrial music genre. They are a Canadian band that was formed in 1986 by Bill Leeb after he left the band Skinny Puppy. Skinny Puppy is one of the inventers of Electro-Industrial; along with Front Line Assembly, they further innovated it with their different styles and variations throughout the years and throughout their releases.
